It's more important than ever to dispose of all confidential information left behind on hard drives and other electronic media. Thirty- eight states currently have laws that require customer notification in the event data is lost, stolen, or inadvertently disclosed. Many more states are following. Federal laws like Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Sarbanes Oxley, Gramm Leach Bliley, Red Flag Rule and Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act ensure companies adhere to standardized regulations for electronic data protection.

IT Asset Management also plays an important role in the handling of your used computers. At STM we provide you with a report detailing make, model, serial number and any additional information you require. Tracking of your assets is a click away with our on line database. We'll provide you with a secured login to check on your account.

The process can be as simple as scheduling a pick up! Once we arrive on site, we securely remove all assets. Upon arrival at our warehouse, you are notified and the Assets are inventoried, data erasure is performed, and an Inventory Report is emailed to you. When all assets on the Inventory Report have been processed, a final Disposition Report along with Certificate of Erasure and Destruction will be sent.

There is no need to remove your company’s data before pick up by STM. We use Erasure Technology which surpasses current Department of Defense standards.

If a hard drive is inoperable, or the erasure cannot be verified, the hard drive will be demanufactred and the platter shredded.

An asset is described as anything with a serial number (ex. CRT's, Towers, POS Devices... ) Our low charge per asset includes full hard drive erasure, serial reporting which is a detailed description of each asset's serial number, model number and any additional information you require. A disposition report is sent directly to you AND kept in our archives for easy retrieval.

STM abides by all EPA rules and regulations. You will receive a COD (Certificate of Disposal) this is our 100% guarantee that the equipment does not end up in a landfill or overseas. Along with this peace of mind is the expertise of our Data Erasure Team of specialists. This is a team in the warehouse that specializes in IT Data erasure and security procedures. All pin pads are shredded.

STM also has an amazing Remarketing Team designed for re-use of electronics to other individuals and companies. We offer you a percentage of the revenue received for the resale of your items that are tested and evaluated as Grade A. Many of our competitors promise revenue share, but we deliver! We are happy to provide references who can attest to the success of our programs. You also have the option to track the status of your products through our online reporting. With this service you see the amount your products are selling for and when they've sold.

You are able to use your existing shipping company and ship items directly to our secure facility. If needed, we can provide boxes and shipping labels. You'll receive weekly reports by store location for items received. You can also choose to have STM provide the shipping and be invoiced directly by us.
